Our process is guided by the RIBA Plan of Work and sharpened by years of experience – tailored, every time, to your site, your brief and how you live. From first conversation to final handover, here is how we work.
Briefing & feasibility
We listen to understand. How do you live now? How would you like to live? What are your hopes for your home? From the front gate to the back door, we want to know everything – and from those first conversations we give you early, honest advice on feasibility, budget and planning, so you know where you stand before the design begins.
Site analysis & survey
We walk the site with you, commission a measured survey and build a 3D model of the existing buildings and their surroundings. Then we look beyond the basics – at context, topography and the qualities that make your site unique – to set a solid foundation for the design to come.
Concept design
We explore design directions – sketching, modelling and testing options – then walk you through our thinking with plans and detailed visualisations that bring your future home into focus. We listen to your feedback, refine the design together and, where useful, open early conversations with the local planning team.
Planning
Our applications are built on detailed drawings and supporting information tailored to your local authority’s needs. Years of work in conservation areas, on heritage homes and across a wide range of local authorities have built us a trusted methodology that gives our applications the best chance of success. We present schemes clearly and compellingly, liaise directly with your case officer and respond quickly to queries.
Technical design
Homes that endure come down to rigour. We coordinate the wider team – structural engineers, quantity surveyors – to prepare the technical information your home needs to be built well, and we develop materials and finishes with the same care we give the overall concept. You’ll experience your home in immersive 3D, helping you make confident decisions, and we’ll help you select the right contractor.
Construction
As construction begins, we stay by your side – liaising with the contractor, coordinating with Building Control, and managing costs and changes with care and clarity – until we hand over a finished home, delivered as designed and ready to be lived in and loved. You entrust us with one of the most momentous times in your lives; we take that responsibility seriously.
