The brief

This was a home with plenty of charm, but one that no longer matched the needs or ambitions of the family who lived there. Our clients came to us with a clear desire: more space, more connection to the outdoors, and a layout that supported both entertaining and quiet moments.

We listened closely to how they used the house and how they wanted to feel within it. The result is a fully tailored extension and reconfiguration that adds light, flow, and a touch of everyday indulgence.

The design

The architectural response is both confident and cohesive. A large, contemporary extension now opens out onto a landscaped garden with a generous patio and a striking pool, creating a true indoor-outdoor experience.

Inside, the heart of the home is a show-stopping kitchen: a bold and elegant space complete with black and white cabinetry, a sculptural marble island, and refined bronze fittings. It’s a space designed to host and to gather: one that balances function with visual impact.

Large expanses of glass bring in natural light and frame the surrounding greenery, while the reconfigured internal layout ensures each room flows effortlessly into the next.

Materials and detail

Throughout the design process, we kept one principle front and centre: make it beautiful, but make it liveable. From the detailing of the fixtures to the proportion of the glazing, every decision was made with longevity and lifestyle in mind.

Externally, the new garden terrace, pool and lawn work as one. A carefully curated sequence of outdoor rooms designed for all seasons. At every turn, the extension complements the original home while adding clarity and confidence to its presence.
